Julep Harper and NOPI: NOTD

Nails of the day featuring Candid Cameron from Nicole by OPI modern family collection and Julep's Harper. I believe Harper was touted as a full coverage glitter but i would have needed at least 4 coats. My hubby gave me the NOPI for xmas and they matched perfectly so I went for 2 coats of each instead. Hope you like it

It's Alive

From China Glaze Halloween 2011 collection, here's It's alive. I love this color. It's so swampy and sparkly, my niece thinks it looks like witches brew. This was also my first time using the glue base and it worked really well. Hope you like, thanks for stopping by

Optimus Prime Themed Glitter Acrylics Tips

So I recently used one of my custom glitter acrylic mixes to do my nails. This was my first attempt at freehand smile lines, and I think I did pretty good. The glitter was not that easy to work with, I probably should have practiced with some plain pink and white first, but oh well!

Left thumb: Could have been a little longer

Left hand: You can see i lost a few glitters along the way

Right Hand: Lol. Terrible but its a start!

I used the crystal pink from Born Pretty Store to make the glitter and cap the whole nail. I also refiled them a bunch cause I couldn't tell how fanned out they were till I saw the pics. Hope you enjoyed the pics :)

Acrylic mixes I made :D Pic Heavy

Here are a couple acrylic glitter mixes I made. They are so hard to photograph. Hope you like them.

My son actually picked these colors. He named it Optimus

Small blue glitter, small red glitters and small/med blue hex.

Small Green glitter, small/med green hex, and a pinch of small gold glitter

We call it Grassor

This mess is just a combo of all the small glitters i had. Horrid photo i know.

I will probably never wear this one but ill keep it for a bit.

So hard to photograph

I have already decided on which one i will use for my first free hand glitter tips, I'll post some pics of that soon. I also have a couple other mixes I made I may swatch in the future. What do you guys think about acrylic nails? Would you get glitter tips? What color combos would you like?

Little Fingers

So my latest partner in nail polishing is my niece Monica. She always wants to play nail polish store, paint her nails, my nails, my boys nails, or just about anything else! Here are a couple pics of her modelling just for fun <3

When the kids play batman she is always catwoman, so she wanted tiger nails :D

Well just thought I'd share, for her next mani she has requested something killer whale-ish, with blue stamping and pinkish (her words), lol. When I come up with something that fits that description ill make sure to post! :D <3
